Pillars of Islam
The Five Pillars of Islam serve as the foundation of a Muslim’s life and provide essential guidance.
- Shahada (Faith): Belief in Allah as the only God and Muhammad (PBUH) as His final Messenger, which is the primary requirement for entering Islam.
- Salat (Prayer): Performing the five daily prayers to maintain a connection with Allah and to instill discipline, cleanliness, and patience.
- Sawm (Fasting): Observing fasts during Ramadan to practice self-control and devotion to Allah, while also developing patience and empathy for the less fortunate.
- Zakat (Charity): Mandatory charity for the wealthy, promoting economic equality and supporting the needy in society.
- Hajj (Pilgrimage): Performing Hajj in Makkah once in a lifetime, symbolizing Muslim unity and submission to Allah.
