The correct answer is : News of the birth of a son
Ref: Surah Al-Ankabut 29:31
Translation:
When Our messenger-angels came to Abraham with the good news ˹of the birth of Isaac˺, they said, “We are going to destroy the people of this city ˹of Sodom˺, for its people have persisted in wrongdoing.”
Tafseer / Explanation:
-
The angels came to Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) with glad tidings.
-
They informed him of the birth of his son Ishaq (Isaac) and later Ya‘qub (Jacob).
-
Along with this good news, they also conveyed Allah’s decree of punishing the people of Lut.
-
The angels were sent with both mercy for the believers and destruction for the wicked.
-
The verse shows Allah’s justice — rewarding the righteous while warning and punishing the sinful.
