Arabic:

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةًۭ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ تَجْهَلُونَ ٥٥

Do you really lust after men instead of women? In fact, you are ˹only˺ a people acting ignorantly.”

Tafseer / Explanation:

Prophet Lūṭ (عليه السلام) directly questioned his people for lusting after men instead of women.

He described their action as crossing all natural and moral boundaries.

Their desires led them to abandon the lawful and pure relationship with women.

This act was labeled as transgression and corruption, not mere desire.

The verse warns that indulging in such sins brings Allah’s anger and punishment.
